The Del Mar Pines Foundation for Education is a charitable nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and enhancing quality education by providing scholastic enrichment opportunities and resources.

Founded in 2009, the Del Mar Pines Foundation for Education makes a meaningful difference to students at Del Mar Pines School.

Each year, the Foundation sponsors a fall campaign, a spring social and a few events designed for the benefit or enjoyment of the community, like concerts, earth week events and artwork reproductions.

A Night of Comedy

Proceeds from 2009 and 2010 events allowed the Foundation to make grants to the school towards the purchase of 70 Mac Book Pro laptops for use in the classrooms. Teachers report that improved access to laptops has been invaluable. “Laptops bring learning to life, and make content more exciting, meaningful and interesting.” The 2010 campaign also brought cameras to the art room, three projectors that interface with laptops, a document camera that scans and projects detailed images, two laser printers and technology training for teachers. Together, these technological enhancements give teachers and students the tools to teach and learn in an interactive, engaging way.
