Jennifer Tankersley is a
founding member and current President of the Del Mar Pines
Foundation for Education. She is the founder and CEO of Pockets for
our Planet, an eco-friendly fashion line currently being launched,
and co-founder of NP Strategies, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit strategy
consulting organization where she serves as Principal Advisor and
Chairman of the Board. Jennifer is also an active member of the San
Diego Women's Foundation. Jennifer holds an MBA from the Anderson
School at UCLA and a BA from Scripps College. She is the mother of
a daughter and son that currently attend Del Mar Pines and a two
year-old daughter.
Nancy Janda,
Vice President
Nancy Janda is a founding member and
current Vice President of the Del Mar Pines Foundation for
Education. She served as the Associate Director of the University
of Minnesota Hospital and Clinic and Associate Vice President for
Medical Affairs at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in LA. Nancy was a
Principal at PCH Consulting Group in Seattle specializing in
strategic planning for multi-specialty medical group practices. She
earned a Bachelor of Economics from Boston College, a Masters of
Business and Hospital Administration from Washington University and
a graduate fellowship in Hospital Administration at the University
of Michigan Hospitals. She has served as the President of a parent
cooperative preschool in Solana Beach, Sandy Hill Nursery School.
Nancy and her husband have two Del Mar Pines graduates and a
daughter who currently attends Del Mar Pines School.
Denise Scott,
Treasurer
Denise Scott is a founding member and current Treasurer of the Del Mar Pines Foundation for Education. Denise has been actively involved
at the school as Room Parent, Shining Stars Co-Chair and volunteer for numerous other
school events. Previously she served as the CFO and controller for
various companies in the healthcare and consulting industries.
Denise has a BA degree in Accounting and Business Administration
from California State University, Long Beach. Denise and her
husband have a son and daughter who currently attend Del Mar Pines
School.
Amy Monteparte,
Secretary
Amy Monteparte is a founding member
and current Secretary of the Del Mar Pines Foundation for Education.
She has been actively involved as the Books & Beyond reading program
coordinator and volunteer for various school events. As President
of her Homeowner’s Association, she was the Project Manager of a
million dollar slope re-stabilization project. Amy has over 12
years of senior accounting and auditing experience in the healthcare
and cancer research industries. Amy has her BA in Accounting and
Business Administration with a concentration in Organizational
Behavior from Mercyhurst College. Amy and her husband have a
daughter who attends Del Mar Pines School.
Phil Scott,
Director
Phil Scott, CFA is a Director for the
Foundation. He serves as the President of DS Enterprises, a
valuation firm focused on derivative valuation and SEC compliance.
Prior to forming DS Enterprises, Phil has provided merger and
acquisition services for various investment bankers and healthcare
organizations. He also was the founder of The Camden Group, a
national healthcare consulting firm providing hospital and physician
management organization services. Phil has a BS degree in Chemical
Engineering from California Institute of Technology and an MBA from
the University of San Diego. He and his wife have two children at
Del Mar Pines.
Kim Winship,
Director
Kim Winship is a Director for the Foundation. She is an active
volunteer at Del Mar Pines School, her experience includes Book Fair
Coordinator, Room Parent and Yearbook Coordinator and Yearbook
Photographer. She has also served on multiple fundraising
committees. She recently completed a two-year term as Parent Group
President for the school. Kim is a licensed California Real Estate
Broker and experienced real estate investor. From 1990 – 1999, Kim
worked in sales and marketing at Nestle Food Company as a National
Accounts Manager in the western region. She graduated from San
Diego State University with a BS degree in Marketing. Kim and her
husband have two sons who currently attend Del Mar Pines.
Marci McCord,
Del Mar Pines School Liaison
Marci McCord is the Director of
Admissions and Administration at Del Mar Pines School. She serves as
the Director of the After School and Summer programs at Del Mar
Pines. She has taught various grades at the school. Marci
graduated from the University of California at Davis with a degree
in Economics. She earned her teaching credentials from the
University of San Diego. Marci and her husband have a daughter that
graduated from Del Mar Pines and a son who currently attends.
Stephanie McGuire,
Parent Group Liaison
Stephanie McGuire is the current
President of the Del Mar Pines School Parent Group. She has been
actively involved in volunteer work for DMP for six years as a Room
Parent, Shining Stars Coordinator and Auction Dinner Fundraiser
Chair. Stephanie is a member of the Junior League of San Diego,
having served on its Board of Directors for four years as Membership
Council Director, Fund Development Director and President. She is
currently the Sustaining Director for the Junior League. Stephanie
has served the San Diego community for many years as a volunteer and
fundraiser for various charities. She has worked in advertising and
marketing for six years. Stephanie earned her BA from the University
of the Pacific, from the School of International Studies. Stephanie
and her husband have two sons currently attending Del Mar Pines in
fourth and sixth grades and a four year old daughter.
